PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As part of my interactive design class at San Francisco State, we were assigned to create a website for a local small business all through HTML and CSS. Create It Ceramics and Glass Studio is a small business located in Palo Alto, California that was in need of a website redesign. This business hosts creatives at their studio regularly as they offer painting pottery and glass fusing, so it was important for them to look welcoming and relaxing as the user first views their website. As a creative myself, this project felt close to home. This parallax website was built for computer and mobile platforms.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Create It's new website should resemble a fun yet relaxing atmosphere similar to their store. The walls are colorful and art-filled, however the client didn't want the website to look overly colorful.

PROTOTYPE

This website design works as a single page parallax site with a video header to capture the viewers eye. With a video as the header for the site, viewers get a chance to see the art studio's calming environment before physically visiting the studio.
